Children and Teens
As a former teacher, Alison has extensive experience working with children and adolescents of all ages and knows that they are just as susceptible as adults to the pressures of modern life. The stress of high expectations, toxic environmental contaminants such as pesticides and herbicides and the constant onslaught of distracting, fast-paced images on television, computers and video games can create a host of conditions that leave parents desperate for answers.
Hypnotherapy, in conjunction with standard medical care, offers a safe, gentle approach to helping children and teens negotiate the complexities of life in today’s ever-changing world.
Alison assesses each child individually, taking into careful consideration the needs of the child, family history, cultural background, medical history including such important information as medications, allergies, etc. and formulates a unique plan specifically designed to meet the requirements of the child.
If necessary, with the parent’s consent she will refer the family to other practitioners such as dieticians, nutritionists and personal trainers.
Studies have shown that hypnotherapy is an extremely effective method for helping alleviate symptoms of such conditions as:
- Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder
- Asthma
- Allergies
- Panic Attacks
- Eating Disorders
- Hypnotherapy has also had remarkable success treating children suffering from:
- Bedwetting
- Poor Self-Esteem
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Learning Disabilities
I can also help with:
- Sports/Performance Enhancement
- Improving Grades
- Phobias
- Sleep Disturbances/Night Terrors
